Some of the greatest minds have also been some of the most eccentric.  Albert Einstein, for example, was known for a host of oddities starting in his youth, that included playing the violin while birdwatching with tears running down his face.

 

Though it’s difficult to say if strange habits contribute to, or are a side effect of, great minds, but we know that Einstein was not alone.
