1. Christmas Kettle Campaign begins
You’re likely used to seeing Salvation Army volunteers ringing Christmas bells and accepting donations for people in need during the holidays, but do you find yourself low on cash? This year volunteers will be able to accept donations through cards as well! Moneris terminals will be placed at most locations this year, giving you the opportunity to donate through debit and credit as well!
2. New Well.ca Order Pick Up at Rexall Launches Across Canada - Just in Time for the Holiday Season!
If you need to pick up a few things from well.ca, you can say goodbye to worrying about shipping times. Thanks to a new partnership with Rexall and well.ca, customers can now pick up their well.ca order at 329 Rexall stores across the country! Well.ca is a proud Moneris merchant, we’ve even featured their story on our Insights blog, so we’re excited to hear of this new partnership!
Tired of standing in line at the grocery store? If so, this news is for you! Loblaws is enhancing their self-checkout technology with an app that allows you to scan items while you shop. Stores will even provide digital scales, so customers can weigh their produce and scan the item into the app. When you’re done shopping, you simply scan the app at a cashier or fast lane station and pay without hassle.
Costa Coffee, a coffee chain based in the UK, and Barclaycard have announced the launch of an innovative new payment alternative in the UK, a contactless coffee cup! The reusable cups include a detachable contactless chip that is usable wherever contactless payments are accepted, including Costa branches!
